DIY Pastel Stripes

This week is huge-430 teenagers! We made brisket last night, talk about some hunks of meat. Tonight’s tacos, so I’ve had a nice break since lunch. What have I done with my break? (Other than blog & hit up Sonic). Put pastels in my hair. Jordan begged me to pierce her cartilage, but we agreed a camp kitchen would not be the most appropriate place for this to happen. Therefore, that must occur off-campus. Coloring our hair with pastels was an excellent alternative. Although, do not fret, we did it in the bathroom & cleaned up our mess.

To keep up with the trend, all you need is a box of pastels.

Twist a chunk of wet hair around your finger. Wet the pastel also. Then color your hair up & down with the chalk until you reach the desired color. Easy! The wetter your hair & the chalk the better/brighter the result. This only takes a few minutes to do & washes out when you shampoo your hair. Obviously, un-colored hair is going to soak up the color the quickest & will turn out the boldest. Since my hair is very dark (unnaturally), I first colored the strip with a white pastel & then the desired color. It worked out much better.

Erica joined us too. Due to her light-colored hair, hers turned bold the quickest. Whereas, mine was much duller.

She liked being my model 🙂

Experiment with it & add some extremely temporary color to your hair!
