Happy Friday friends! Hope your December has been off to a swell start. I just love everything about this season & am happy embracing all things holiday-related. I am over-the-moon about decorating the manor for Christmas! We just got our tree last night so it didn’t make it into the home tour today, so we’ll do a tree reveal Monday!
I’ve added little touches of Christmas all throughout the house. The main area is all silver, gold, & snowy/rustic glam. I’ve used a bunch of chalkboards as well & some plaid in the kitchen. Enjoy the photos!
Everybody has to jingle in & out the door because you just can’t be in a bad mood when you hear jingle bells. 😉 Am I right?
I’ve collected all sorts of stuff over the past few years & decided to set all my little pieces out along the 2 niches we have in the entryway.
It’s all woodsy, natural, neutrals mixed in with some bright & shiny. We’re slowly filling up the gallery walls. I switched out my thankful chalkboard prints for some Christmas ones & changed out my feather burlap canvases for some snowflakes.
I bought those snowflakes when I was only in jr. high & they’re one of my favorite sets of ornaments. They’re a sturdy metal, so they’ll last forever. I loved the Christmas window display at Bath & Body Works that year & wanted to recreate it in my room. They had similar dark, metal snowflakes hanging on red strips of ribbon. I’ve been DIY’ing forever y’all!
This is one of my favorite finds. It’s actually a jewelry stand! I snatched it up off a clearance end cap at Target & knew it would fit flawlessly into my Christmas decor. It’s perfect to hang up some of the nicer ornaments on.
Here’s niche number 2. The same feel & some similar pieces.
Now onto the dining room. So far, I’ve filled the top up with a mixture of silver/gold/brass/mercury glass/mason jar candleholders. Basically almost every kind of candleholder I have. Then I threw in a few sparkly pinecones I made with gold spray paint & silver glitter for good measure. I’m loving it. We put the tree in the tree in the left corner, so you’ll see much more of this room come Monday.
The gold covered chair. He probably feels left out in the corner instead of sitting at the table like all the other chairs. So he gets the “golden” treatment! It’s only fair.
A quick run to the bathroom for the electric tree. The colors go great in my nautical bathroom. This used to be my dorm room tree.
If you saw my Fall Home Tour, you caught this guy full of gourds & pinecones. I like him even better full of ornaments & bulbs!
Ahh the fireplace! I even turned it on for you guys. Chalkboards & canvases on top of some pinecone garland. Then there’s my awesome bling-settia & cute bucket of pinecone goodness.
In case you missed it, I made these stocking holders for just $4 too! Go read all about it here!
Nutcrackers framing the TV.
Let’s slide on down the kitchen counter. First up, this cool thing I found at an antique store with some more pretty ornaments.
Michael got me some gorgeous Christmas flowers just in time to make it into my home tour photos! Plus the coolest stein ever.
The golden nativity on the corner of the bar. More on this next week!
Last on the counter top, an abundance of Christmas candy for munching.
Not totally sure what direction I’m taking the kitchen table yet. So far, just some empty glass domes with snow sprinkled in then bottom. They’re ready for something just don’t know what yet! I’m sure I’ll share the table all set later!
A nice, woodsy sign at the back door.
A little hidden, kitchen corner action with a baby bottlebrush tree. Learn how I bleached & dyed them here!
Probably my favorite corner in the kitchen! A collection of Southern Living cookbooks with some glam touches & a cut of greenery, next to my copper measuring cups.
The Southern Living Holiday Cookbook opened up to the Christmas section.
I love this view standing at the sink. I can see almost everything here. There’s a berry basket full of vintage ornaments to my left & a perky poinsettia to my right. Christmas heaven folks.
Hope you enjoyed the visit & are leaving inspired!
See more Christmas here!
