Good Monday Morning! I’m so so so so so so so excited to share my first Christmas tree of my whole entire life with y’all!
My parents stopped doing trees when I was little because they want the focus to be the birth of Jesus not how pretty your tree is. Which is totally great. They have a big wooden manger that they fill with pretty fabrics & a big antique-looking gold crown as well as a set of 3 keys for death, hell & the grave. All the presents are placed the manger instead. That way the manger is the focus point. They still use garland, lights, & ornaments just not all on a tree.
That being said, my desire for a huge, gorgeous Christmas tree has been fueled for a least a decade. This year, my wonderful fiancé gave me one & I am thrilled with the outcome of my efforts.
I could just sit at this table reading a good book by the glow of the tree. I plan to do just that next week!
Here’s the final product. I went for neutrals- silver, gold, & snowy or rustic glam. All of the above work!
A close up of my mix of toppers- a rustic snowflake, a burlap bow, sparkly gold branches, & sparkly ribbon curls.
I made up a quick Christmas gallery wall to brighten up the empty, white walls in the dining room.
The garland is a Target One Spot feature & you can see how I made that wreath here. It was on Michael’s truck, but looked ridiculously miniscule in comparison to his lifted man truck. It goes much better here.
I made a 3-d deer with some plain cardstock- he’s my favorite!
What I really love though are these plaid & gold deer canvases. All my favorite holiday décor on one canvas- plaid, gold. & deer. Love it! The shiny gold’s a little hard to get a picture of, but you get the general idea.
I found plaid tissue paper at the Dollar Tree & used it to cover 2 8’x10′ canvases. I wrapped ’em up just like presents. Then I googled for some deer clipart & cut it out on some gold vinyl. Stuck it over the plaid & bam. Christmas gorgeousness everywhere! I really love these guys. I think I should name them.
& that’s all folks. Thanks for visiting!
