I love decorating the porch now. There’s just so many possibilities for the empty brick & concrete space between the driveway & the from door. Plus it’s the first thing people see when they are welcomed into your home & the only thing people see when they’re driving by. Might as well put a good taste in their mouth.
For Christmas I kept things woodsy & plaid. It reminded me of a lumberjack. So imagine my porch is a friendly Lumberjack’s Christmas porch out in the woods. I thought about finding an old rusty axe to add to the feel, but that might be taking things a little too far. However, if I see I’m totally snatching it up to stick in the big log there.
Okay I’m getting carried away, let’s just take a look at the porch…
I love how cheery & happy it is!
I added a few pretty sprigs of pinecones, glittered berries, & jingle bells, plus a wooden cut out sign in the middle. All of which came from Target, the ribbon too!
The adorable tree rug is from Target too, of course.
I got specific outdoor poinsettias; they’ll survive all year in the tropics. So we’ll see how long they last here. Haven’t had much cold weather since Thanksgiving so it may be lookin’ good for these gals. They both get 4 ice cubes a day. I read that’s how you’re supposed to water poinsettias. In case you wanted to know!
You can see how I made my trees in this post!
& I’ll be sharing the how I made the merry & bright sign this afternoon!
Thanks for stopping by friends!
Hope everyone is fully enjoying the season!
