Happy Monday morning folks! I’m calling today super Monday, because I’m going to get lots & lots done today! Hopefully, that includes getting up a bunch of my Christmas decor!
The first piece I got up last night was this woodsy new garland I made at #cathryneschristmascraftparty (which I will be sharing all about on Wednesday)!
Like most of my crafts, it was very easy & cheap & quick!
All you need is a set of these wooden chalkboard tags. I found mine in the Target One Spot, but I have seen similar items at Hobby Lobby & Michaels. I used the same tags to make my chalkboard magnets, which you can see here. I obviously have a chalkboard woodslice problem!
You also need some small adornments & jingle bells. I used sparkly foam deer, found at the Dollar Tree & chalkboard trees, found in the Target One Spot. The sparkly foam deer came in a package with a variety of sparkly Christmas shapes. The trees were attached to clothespins & I popped them off.
Each package comes with 6 slices & a long piece of twine, perfect for garlanding. I used both the front chalkboard side & the plain backside for the garland, flipping every other piece over. Using hot glue, I attached chalkboard trees to the middles of the plain slices. The deer were already sticky so they were easy to stick onto the chalkboard side.
Next, I strung them onto the twine & hot glued a jingle bell on top of each one. This also held each slice in place along the twine.
I really like it’s spot here on the mirror in my gallery wall. I think I’ll keep it there!
Happy Garlanding Friends!
