I’d like to start sharing more Target dollar spot crafts on here, as it’s my favorite spot to shop for craft supplies! Today I’m sharing how to turn a bunch of their pretty tags into a garland. I’ve actually done this a few times now & am so pleased with the outcome. It only cost a few dollars & there’s not much work required.
Here it is finished on my current crazy mantle. This is very different from my typical style, at least I think so! But it was fun to do something different. We shall see how long it stays up for.
The One Spot/Bullseye’splayground/whatever you call it always always has an assortment of fun tags for gifts, etc. I like to use them to make pretty paper garlands! These particular tags I got for 90% off with the Easter clearance; so at 10 cents a pop I bought a ton of them.
All you need is string & scissors to complete. Both of which items can also usually be found in the One Spot at Target. Open up the tags & loop the tag string over your twine. When you’ve made it long enough, hang it on your mantle. So easy y’all!
Here’s another one I have up in my kitchen.
The mason jar tags are probably my most favorite & the Texas stars & mini pennant came from the One Spot too. Winning!
Here’s the new one on the mantle along with some colorful tassels I made & strung up.
Something else I just love about this mantle setup is the multicolor drip candles! I just discovered them & am obsessed! I love all the colors dripping down! You can find them in a pack of 2 for about $3 at Hobby Lobby. Further melting is in order, but so far I’m very happy with the outcome. I can’t believe I just found out these existed!
You know I had to give in to the iconic pineapple candle trending for summer.
Don’t you just love this little painted jar? I came across a gorgeous set up of similar painted items in Roundtop at Texas Antiques week. She paints these fun designs on basically anything metal. My favorite is probably the enamel pots or vintage fridge drawers. Can’t wait till the fall to get some of her Christmas goodies!
Thanks for stopping by y’all!
