My birthday is Saturday, so it’s birthday week around here & that calls for a fun birthday post! I made these lil guys for my grandpa’s birthday a few weeks ago & got a kick out of them! They are just darn adorable & so easy to do.
I love adding sweet details to everything in my life & these Hershey kisses were no exception. They’re already the perfect shape for party hats! All they were missing is a fuzzy top. Nothing some hot glue can’t fix up. Actually, there probably is nothing some hot glue can’t fix up.
I like to save up all the leftover holiday/seasonal colored kisses & throw them in a big bag together to make a rainbow bunch of kisses. This is also great to grab from for your baking needs! So I thought they’d be perfect for this cause. Birthdays are for color!
Find a variety of mini pom-poms & use the tiniest dab of hot glue to attach a pom-pom to the top of the kiss. I had absolutely no issues with hot glue melting the chocolate. It’s all in the amount you use & you don’t need much for a little pom-pom.
These make such a fun birthday gift or party favor. Scatter them all over the birthday table for extra pizzazz. The best part is, they’re a snap to make & totally irresistible.
I even have a “Happy Birthday” tag you can print & hang around a jar of chocolate party hats.

While I was at it, I made this printable birthday cake banner too.

I’m the worst at decorating cakes, so I go a different route & stick paper things in the top then smother the thing in sprinkles. That way no one can see it! All that matter is that it tastes good. Print & cut the banner then use tape to attach it to paper straws. Stick the straws down in the cake & your good to go! No one will even notice how awful you are at decorating cakes!
