Spring has hit the house in the form of bunnies, plastic eggs & allergies! At least for my husby, poor fella!
It’s funny how your decor style changes over the years. Things I once thought insanely tacky, I now adore. Sometimes I feel like highschool Cathryne or even college Cathryne would scoff at some of my colorful, “cheap” decor. I NEVER would have used plastic eggs as decor…they’re children’s toys for heaven’s sake! I was all about “real” decor; and I still am to a point…fake flowers will ALWAYS be the enemy. But, I find myself bringing more & more “tacky” items into the house for the holidays. Am I the only one? Or does that just happen the older you get?
I think Instagram & the Target dollar spot are solely to blame. I have adapted parts of so many others’ styles through Instagram! I fall in love with a new decor enthusiast everyday it seems. Browsing through all the gorgeous feeds has made me realize you can indeed marry classic with cheap. At least they’ve led me to believe that!
Five years from now (or less), I’ll most likely be criticizing this post & my current style. That’s just the way it rolls. Stick with what you love & so what if it changes! Amen? Amen! I’ve become about embracing what I love per decor & not “filling” & “fluffing” with items I somewhat think are okay. I want to love the things I have to look at everyday!
Anyhow…you’re here for the Easter decor of mine aren’t you?
