My precious niece turned 1 last week & we had a woodland affair for her on Saturday; it was amazing y’all!! If you caught the sneak peaks on my Insta-stories you know how good it was! I’m going to let the photos do most of the talking & will share several more posts over this week & next with many more details on how certain pieces came together.
There are so many things to look at in this photo, I won’t point your direction one way or the other!
I cut some deer with my Cricut & some brown craft cardstock then taped them to twine for an adorable banner!
All of the food signs are printed on white paper & glued to plaid scrapbook paper. I used a black stamp to add a little age & make them look more “woodsy.”
Caramel apples are a must!! I cut them up once the party started so guests could enjoy them.
Trail mix, chocolate donut holes & woodland berries with fruit dip also made the menu. Adding vinyl monograms to a few (no, not all) of the plates made a personal touch!
The acorns were the cutest! Just a hershey kiss with melted chocolate, a mini nutter butter cookie, more melted chocolate & a chocolate chip on top. Make these all fall long!
I guess naked cakes are my thing now! I get better with each one because you honestly cannot mess it up! Check out this post-DIY NAKED CAKE-for a live video & full tutorial to make your own!
The cake was intended for smashing by the birthday girl & the donuts were for everyone else to devour. But, my sweet niece wanted nothing to do with the cake. So we improvised, cut it up & enjoyed it ourselves! There’s no reason for a good cake to go to waste!
Haha this is probably my favorite part- “Don’t feed the bears” on the mixed teddy grahams!
You know I simply cannot have a party without gorgeous cookies from the best cookie girl! Check her out on Instagram @livs_love_and_sweet_treats!
You can’t have a woodland party without a hedgehog cheeseball y’all! It just ain’t right! Slivered almonds are all you need to transform your regular cheeseball!
We love our Little Debbie snack cakes around here & we’re thrilled when we happened upon some perfect for the party!
We had to have some “real food” amongst all the sugar…chicken salad croissants fit the bill.
The party was a greta opportunity to try out a hula hoop wreath too! I’m in love! Can’t wait to do a more permanent fall version perhaps? Also, DIY tutorial coming on this tomorrow!
The floral “E” steals the show here! There’ll be a tutorial on this one too. You won’t believe it’s made out of a cereal box!
There was o shortage of sweets y’all & I am so surprised to report that all of the junk food was eaten! The only leftovers were the sandwiches, pretzels & trail mix. I was hoping for some extra cookies or donuts…oh well!
It was a party for a 1 year old so activities aren’t exactly a priority. We set out a can of lincoln logs with a “Build Your Own” sign for the the future lumberjacks to get to work!
The coffee table was covered with butcher paper & we set out a dough bowl of crayons for easy entertainment for all ages. The themed beanie babies made great toys for the kids to play with too.
We set photos of the birthday girl out amongst all the woodland critters on the bar. Isn’t she darling?! See all of her 1st birthday photos here-Evelyn’s Smash Cake Photos!.
We set the breakfast table just to show off the plates we monogrammed!
Favors are always a must! We made a simple s’mores mix of cereal, mini marshmallows & chocolate chips. The snack mix was packaged in the mini plastic baggies & we stapled scrapbook paper over the top.
