I saw a few neighbors with porches decked out for fall already, so I jumped on that bandwagon IMMEDIATELY! I went right out to buy all the pumpkins & mums I could find! Or that my budget would allow…lol. More is always more! I kept things pretty simple with pumpkins on pumpkins & mums in whitewashed terra cotta pots. I’m loving it for fall & can’t wait to make adjustments next month for Halloween!
The front porch is always an important spot to decorate for a couple of reasons. It’s the first thing guests will notice about your home & a welcoming entry is always a good idea. It’s also the only thing people see from the street. If you porch is cute & clean, they’ll probably think the inside is cute & clean too (even though mine probably isn’t ha!)! Some neighbors will never see inside your home, but they will drive past it every single day. I like to think my pumpkin stacks & pale purple mums make someone smile or cheer up a sad spirit. They certainly make me happy each time I step outside!
What an entry!!!! I bought all of my pumpkins at HEBb(a Texas grocery store) & the mums are from Home Depot. Aren’t those colors gorgeous!?
You could call this wreath “semi-homemade!” I simply tied together 2 wreaths with gingham ribbon.
I’ve never stacked pumpkins up before, but they make my heart so happy! The trick is to start stacks at the grocery store & see which pumpkins work best together.
This is Otis the Owl, he has made it into all 3 of my fall home tours so far! You must have noticed that rusty old ironing board too…I picked that up from the side of the road. It’s just darling for fall!
I white washed the 2 terra-cotta pots using some white-ish chalk paint combined with water & took it off.
Any other fall lovers out there?! I’d love to hear from you!
