Last weekend I tried my hand at some Frosted Cranberries & fell in love with the snowy look!
I like to look fancy without really being fancy & Frosted Cranberries is a cheap way to do that! I sometimes think these tiny details will be so time-consuming, & sometimes they are, but this was a quick one! I was pleasantly surprised how quick these guys came together.
You only need 3 ingredients- fresh cranberries, sugar & water. So simple!
Combine 1/2 c sugar with 1/2 c water in a saucepan & heat over med-high until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat & pour over a package of cranberries. Let sit for 1 hour-overnight. I recommend overnight if you want them to be sweet & a shorter period of time fi you want them tart.
Drain cranberries & roll in 1/2 c sugar. They will harden up very fast!
Save them for adding to a charcuterie board, using as a garnish for drinks or an entree, or serving with dessert. I haven’t decided where I want to use mine yet, all the options sound great! I might do charcuterie board & drinks.
